There is a pain in my head
Throbbing, distorting...
Sounds, feelings, darkness and bright light.
Sleeping yet sensitively aware.
Ambivalent to the world around me.
Can they see, do they know?
The army ants keep marching
right around me, paying no mind.
Maybe I've been gone a minute
maybe an hour.
Teeth clenching, jaw hurts,
music from 3 radios, one in my head.
Throbbing but not a headache
just a distance
Making me different
from everyone else.
